Eclipse I IT

This family of three motorized shutters fits nearly every theatrical or film lighting fixture. Mechanical dimming is the only choice for arc source fixtures which cannot be electrically dimmed. And now, all Eclipse ITs are compatible with Wybron's three time award-winning InfoTrace Control and Management System.

Eclipse I IT

The shutter configuration gives maximum speed of opening and closing. Strobe effects can be achieved at up to 10 cycles per second (60% closed) and full cuts can be made as fast as five times per second. Shutter position is controlled by a standard lighting console using one channel of DMX512. A local control is available for each head in situations where a full lighting console is not needed.

In addition to full dimming control, Eclipse IT provides the ability to:

  • Remotely set DMX addresses – no more manual setting of DIP switches
  • Immediately receive an alert if a lamp goes out
  • Know the condition of equipment before, during and after a show
  • Track lamp duty cycles to predict lamp failure before it happens
  • Predict maintenance on equipment

...and much more.

Eclipse IT is equipped with a series of sensors that can relay a wealth of information directly to a laptop, via InfoGate software, the heart of the InfoTrace system. These sensors can detect everything from light, temperature, and voltage to fan speed. It can give specific status information and even warn of potential problems, possibly averting failures in the middle of a show. If the status of a device indicates any problem, InfoGate displays an alert with the nature of the problem and the exact location. Troubleshooting is now done in a fraction of the time.

Sensors:

  • Aperture Light Sensor: Detects if the fixture's lamp is on.
  • Unit Temperature Sensor: Measures and reports the temperature within the center panel.
  • Voltage Sensor: Sensor that reports the head voltage level.
  • Pass Through Current Sensor: Measures the current passing through the XLR connector wiring harness.
  • Unit Current Sensor: Measures the amount of current that a unit is consuming.
  • Timers: Keep track of how many hours the unit has been operated since its last maintenance cycle.
  • Fan RPM Sensor: RPM sensor on fan.
  • Reverse Polarity Protection: Auto shut down if dowser is plugged into a Coloram II power supply.

Alert Warnings:

  • Fan Stopped Warning
  • High Motor Current Warning
  • Fan Off and Lamp On
  • Unit Cleaning Period Reached
  • Light Not Detected
  • Init Fail
  • Low Voltage Alert
  • Low Voltage Unit Shutdown

As you can see, it is now possible to know more about the health and status of your dowsers than ever before.

All Eclipse IT units use the PS Power Supplies in 150, 300, or 600 watts. These RDM compatible power supplies provide power and signal to each head in one combined cable for ease of wiring. Each head has an in and out for daisy chaining together and for making setup easier. Complete diagnostic information is available about each head connected to the supply.
