Litepod™
The original idea for the Litepod™ came from Doug Brant and Justin Collie of Artfag LLC. They asked their lighting supplier, Ed & Ted's Lighting, to assemble a nine-light – a Martin 3000W Atomic Strobe and a Wybron CXI™ built into a pod that could be arranged in different configurations.
Ed & Ted's built the "Fagpod" for a number of years until they realized that the product had made a name for itself and needed to be built by a lighting manufacturer. Ted Fowler approached Wybron with the idea, and the Litepod™ was born.
Thanks to its flexibility, the Litepod™ is hugely popular in concert touring. It alternates between a DWE nine-light fixture, a six-light with a single Martin Atomic 3000 strobe, or a double Atomic 3000 strobe fixture; and it can be fitted with a large format CXI for unlimited color options. As with all Wybron products, the Litepod is built with unsurpassed reliability and made in the USA.
The pods have toured with many bands, including Bon Jovi, Blink 182, Sonic Youth, No Doubt, Green Day, Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, and the Foo Fighters.
