Nexera™ LX CDM Wash

The Nexera™LX CDM Wash was designed to provide an efficient wash light with a built in color changer. For completely silent operation – meaning absolutely no fans – the fixture uses glass filters for color mixing. The light source is a long-lasting low-wattage CDM bulb, and built-in dimmer allows smooth, even fading of this advanced light source.

This model of the Nexera™ uses a compact discharge lamp from Philips. The CDM lamp is rated at 150 watts, but has nearly the same lumen output as a 575 watt tungsten lamp. Additionally, the rated lamp life is 10,000 hours, versus 1,500 hours for an equivalent Tungsten bulb.

That means the Nexera™LX CDM Wash consumes nearly 1/4 the energy as a Tungsten bulb, and the bulb life is over six times longer – saving you money on electricity costs and lamp purchases. And, of course, the dimmer built into the fixture yields additional savings.

We designed this fixture with an adjustable beam-width so you can pick the exact coverage you need. It is easily adjusted with a single knob on the side of the fixture.

A virtually limitless palette of colors can be produced by mixing the fixture's Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow filters. The color spectrum of the filters has been designed to give the widest possible gamut of colors while balancing efficiency for high output.

The dichroic glass filters must pass two inspections. Once we receive them, we check to make sure they fit into our rigorous tolerances. The after the Nexera™ has been assembled, the filters are checked and adjusted automatically using a precise color camera to ensure that the colors match from fixture to fixture. This way we can assure you that if you buy Nexeras™ today, they will match what we built five years ago – and the ones we'll build five years from today.

Precise manufacturing leads to the excellent optics in this fixture.. Every mechanical part is machined in our factory using the latest NC machining techniques. And we rigorously inspect the incoming optical parts, reflectors, lenses, and color filters.
