This family of power supplies provides power and signal to the entire family of Coloram II Color Changers, CXI Color Mixers, Eclipse I and II Mechanical Dowsers and Goboram II Gobo Rotators. Three sizes are available, rated for 6, 12, and 24 heads. Each of the models uses a universal switching power source so the power supplies can be used anywhere in the world without setting a voltage or frequency switch. Fuses should be changed when going from 120 volts to 240 volts.
DMX512 is the input protocol for each of the models. All three power supplies will use an appropriate size block of addresses which can be started anywhere in the address space. Each model can remotely configure the units attached to it. If the fan is variable speed, then it can be set from the power supply. Also diagnostic information about the motor, local voltage and fan speed is available at the front panel of each power supply.
All models are supplied with hanging brackets and with safety cables for truss mounting. Rack mounting kits are available for the 24-Way PS. This allows 2 model 20240 power supplies in 3U space of a standard 19-inch equipment rack. Connecting heads to the power supply requires a specially designed cable with two 14 gauge conductors and 1 shielded pair for signal. These cables are available in a variety of standard lengths or can be made up in customer specified lengths.
