Autopilot II
Track even the most active performers in real time with Wybron's award-winning Autopilot II™, which transforms moving lights into followspots.
With Autopilot II, performers wear small beltpack transponders that send signals to the Autopilot II, and Autopilot II then controls the pan-and-tilt movement of the moving lights – up to 60 fixtures within two DMX universes.
In the photo above, the Autopilot II tracks musician David Crowder during a concert.
On some lights, the iris can be controlled to keep the size of the light beam consistent, regardless of the performer's distance from the fixture. But other parameters such as color changers and gobo patterns still must be controlled from the lighting console.
The Autopilot II also controls certain video cameras with automated yokes.
The user interface for Autopilot II runs on a Windows-based PC, with computer graphics showing a real-time three-dimensional representation of your setup.
Other benefits of Autopilot II:
- Control up to 60 lights (vs. 24 in the original Autopilot)
- Work with two DMX512 universes, or 1,024 channels
- Upgrade your system (PC, system controller, light models) via the Internet
- Access help on a laptop whenever you need it
- Understand most functions in graphic form
